🌺 Mapping the Magic: What Hawaii Taught Me About Feng Shui, Flow, and Finding True North
When I first landed in Hawaii, I thought I was going for a break. A getaway. A reset. What I didn’t know was that I was about to walk straight into a masterclass on energy, alignment, and the kind of beauty that rewires your whole nervous system. Kind of a Feng Shui for the soul.
Feng Shui is the art of placement. It’s about creating spaces that feel good—where the energy flows, the air feels lighter, and everything just makes sense. You move things around so your bed feels cozy, your desk feels inspiring, and your whole space feels balanced and alive.
When your room is happy, you feel happy too.
One of the main tools in Feng Shui is something called the Bagua Map which is made up of 9 life areas, each corresponding to a specific element, energy, and theme. You overlay it on your home’s floor plan—aligning the bottom row with your main entrance—and you get an energetic read on where your life may be flowing... or blocked. Each area holds insight. Each one invites alignment.
This island is a Bagua Map in motion. Everything pulses with elemental wisdom—water, fire, earth, wind. It’s all here, mirroring the internal terrain we sometimes forget to explore.

The black sand beaches of the Big Island had no interest in my resume.

This is the energy of water—fluid, deep, and always moving. When I floated in the Pacific, I felt the path realign under me. Not through force, but through surrender.

There’s something about watching a sea turtle glide by that drops you into your own depth.

We snorkeled with dolphins. Fought over sunscreen. Got lost. Got found.

The island didn’t care what I looked like. It cared how honest I was willing to be.

This area is where inspiration shows up unannounced, barefoot and soaked in saltwater, asking if you’re ready to make something real.

From chance encounters with locals to the divine timing of sea turtles, Hawaii reminded me that magic is always traveling with us—if we let it.

Everything leads back to the center.
To the barefoot walks. The way papayas taste better when you’re sunburned and laughing.
